Forsyth and Monroe County are twenty-five minutes north of Macon on I-75, and the same crew covers them: removals over roofs and barns on the acreage, lot clearing for new builds around Bolingbroke and the lake, trimming for the old oaks around the courthouse square, and storm cleanup after every squall line. Written estimate, the same prices as in Macon, and a line that takes messages around the clock.
Monroe County is horse farms, timber and big lots, the kind of country where the trees are large, the driveways are long, and the work is removals over structures rather than yard pruning.
Inside the city limits, Forsyth's code spells out what Public Works will pick up. Household yard waste goes in one pile within five feet of the curb, at least three feet from mailboxes, poles and cars, with brush, limbs and logs no more than five inches in diameter and piles no larger than five feet wide by five feet high. An oversize pile, or a second pile, costs $25.
The same section excludes trimmings from private contractors, wood from trees cut for pay, stumps and root balls, and debris from the original development of a lot. Any contractor has to remove the yard rubbish its work leaves behind, and debris found in the right-of-way is removed by the city and billed to the property owner; tree-surgeon trimmings are only collected after a natural disaster. Hauling is part of any paid removal here, and the written estimate says so.

About Forsyth
Forsyth is the seat of Monroe County, a courthouse-square town between Macon and Atlanta that has grown as Macon families move north for land, with Bolingbroke, Juliette and Lake Juliette on its edges. Bolingbroke, Juliette, Smarr and the I-75 corridor are all within the service area.
Burning has its own rules. City code requires a permit from the Fire Chief or a designee before any open fire inside Forsyth, apart from cooking and recreational fires. Statewide, the Georgia Forestry Commission no longer requires a permit for hand-piled leaves and limbs, but land-clearing burns and machine-piled debris still need notification or a permit through 1-800-GA-TREES.
The city's garbage contractor, Amwaste, runs bulk pickup on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month, limited to two items and booked at least 48 hours ahead, and it does not take yard waste. Larger debris pickups are scheduled through City Hall at 478-994-5649.
